GNU Tool Chain Developer


Description:
In this newly created position you will be called on to develop GNU compilers, GNU debuggers and binutils for MIPS Processor cores.

MIPS Technologies (www.mips.com) designs and licenses very high performance 32 and 64 bit RISC processor architectures and cores. Our products have led the way and have become the industry leader in a multitude of market segments such as digital video, digital TV, media players, cameras, wireless networking, and a number of other consumer and business applications.

For this role, the ideal candidate will know the GNU environment and will have developed tools using C/C++ for several years. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of RISC architectures and cache management trade-offs for performance applications. This role requires performance and tuning expertise.

Additionally, the engineer filling this role will know the internals of the GNU compiler gcc and will have a thorough understanding of RISC architectures. Specific experience of the MIPS Architecture is a big plus. Knowledge of other processors is also advantageous.

The successful candidate must be able to receive and/or access technology that may be controlled under U.S. or other export laws and regulations.
